Bio: This is my second year as Forest Lake's JV soccer coach.  
        Soccer has always been a part of my life.  I started
        playing soccer on a summer league in first grade and
        stayed with that team until I graduated high school.
        I also played for the Cambridge-Isanti High School
        varsity team my junior and senior year.  After high
        school, I attended the University of Wisconsin-River
        Falls, earning a degree in Elementary Education.  I also
        played on several co-ed intramural sports' teams, including
        soccer, throughout my college career.  I have been enjoying
        being part of the Forest Lake High School soccer program
        and am excited to see where the season will take us.

B-Squad Coach:  Shawn Johnson

Bio:  
         Shawn is returning for his second year in the girl's soccer program.  
        Born in Forest Lake, Shawn was raised in North Branch and graduated
        from North Branch High School in 2001. As a member of the North
        Branch varsity soccer team, Shawn was named Team MVP for both the
        1999 and 2000 seasons. Shawn attended St. Cloud Technical College
        before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps in February 2005.
        Serving as a Rifleman and Team Leader in the Infantry, Shawn served
        two deployments in Iraq. In July 2006 Shawn was wounded in
        action from an IED small arms attack, receiving a Purple Heart and a
        Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal for his performance for while 
        wounded he and one other marine helped escort a family of Iraq
        civilians to safety, Shawn was eventually medically discharged due to
        his injuries in 2008. Shawn currently resides in White Bear Lake and in
        his free time enjoys listening to music, hiking in St. Croix Falls, and 
        physical training.
